"Father Barth's impressive and distinguished study adds significantly to our understanding and appreciation of the range and acuity of Coleridge's mind... The strength of analysis, the nature and kinds of writings surveyed, as well as the scrupulously documented bibliographic information make this a helpful work for the serious (and ambitious) beginning student of Colerdige and a valuable resource for the seasoned scholar who has been waiting for a comprehensive synthesis of Coleridge's religious views."
