Mothers and children, lovers and wives, carers and betrayers. Some characters struggle, some dance or fly, some try suicide or murder. They may resort to reason and unreason. All of them make choices.

Deft, spare and incisively intelligent, Fay Weldon's collection of short stories is shot through with her needling moral sense and her vibrant humour.

'Moon Over Minneapolis has parables for everyone, words for us all. Sharp, witty, incisive, she pares off layers of everyday superficialities.'

Times

'Has the capacity, especially when approaching the casual horror which awaits us all at the end of many of her stories, to make one splutter with merriment at the same time as twitching with anguish.'

Guardian

'Fay Weldon's voice is as unmistakable as her acerbic wit.'
