From the late 1970s to the early 1980s Edred Thorsson produced a significant volume of material which was published in rather obscure Ásatrú or Odinist journals such as The Runestonein the USA and the Raven Bannerin England. Additionally, the then fledgling Rune-Gild published a number of shorter works. All of these would have likely ended up as virtually "lost" if they had not been collected and edited for publication in this volume.  The Contents Include:Holy Signs: Threefold and FourfoldA Curious Curse FormulaThe Uthark Theory and the TarotReincarnation in Ásatrú"Fate" in ÁsatrúThe Rite of the Sumble Euhemerism in ÁsatrúThe Germanic Idea of the HolyThe ArmanenschaftA History of German Runic EsotericismPersonal Authority and Odian Ethics This volume also contains a short biography of Edred Thorsson- who became not only the most influential writer and leader in the Northern Renaissance in North America, but also, inevitably for a while at least, its most controversial. This biography sheds some early light on what the controversy was all about.
